The Materials 

• Organic cotton fabric and fill: GOTS certified organic, this material is soft to the touch and a healthier alternative to synthetic fabrics and foams. 

• Organic wool batting: This material provides natural moisture wicking, temperature regulating and fire protection properties. It adds bounce and soft support to this design and is sustainably sourced and certified organic.

• PLA: A high-performance, plant-based synthetic fiber made from non-GMO sugarcane. This material adds resilience and improves moisture wicking. Used in food packaging and medical supplies, PLA is well-known as a safer, more sustainable option. 

• Organic latex: Sustainably sourced from the sap of rubber trees, the latex layer provides comfort and pressure relief, and is GOLS certified organic and sourced from reputable suppliers, ensuring purity, fair labor practices and support for rubber tree forests.
• Glue-less, encased coils: Naturepedic makes their coils in-house without any glues or adhesives. One aspect to note is that this mattress requires assembly. Naturepedic estimates assembly to take 10 to 15 minutes, and can be completed alone, although it’s recommended to have two people for the task.
