Mattress Size & Type
The whole point of a sleeper sofa is that it converts to a bed, so this part of the design process is paramount. DreamSofa offers three mattress sizes and three mattress types to choose from.
The mattresses follow standard sizing, which means it will always be easy to find sheets that fit:
-
Twin: 37”x72”
-
Full: 52”x72”
-
Queen: 60”x72”
Once you choose your mattress size, you can select your mattress type:
-
Classic: Designed with premium soft foam to provide a balance of support and comfort. Recommended for sporadic or infrequent use.
-
Luxe: Pressure-relieving design with supportive springs and a plush pillow top. Recommended for regular, everyday use.
-
Dream: Breathable, adaptive memory foam mattress designed to relieve pressure and hug the body. Recommended for regular, everyday use.
Fabric
There are more than 200 fabric options for your London Sofa-Sleeper—tweeds, twills, basket weaves, chenilles and velvets, just to name a few. To narrow down your options, you can sort by filters based on your needs:
-
Tiers: There are five fabric price tiers, ranging from no additional cost to $399.
-
Pet/Family Friendly: Apply this filter to see kid- and pet-proof fabrics.
-
Cleanable: This filter will show you the fabrics that can be easily cleaned.
-

-

You can also order a free swatch kit to check out the color and feel of your favorites in person. Pro tip: Be sure to visit the Order Free Swatches page, where you can see a larger swatch of each fabric, all available colorways and the stats all in one place. Don’t skip this step! It will help you get a better idea of which fabric lines will work for you.
Leg Finish
There are four leg finishes available—natural, walnut, espresso and black—so you can match it to the other wood tones in your room. There is no additional fee for choosing your leg finish.
Design & Materials
The London Sofa-Sleeper has a traditional fold-out design with a metal frame. This type of sofa bed puts you higher off the ground than the flip-to-floor sleeper sofas, which makes it a better choice for anyone with mobility concerns or those who just want to sleep higher up.
Another standout feature of the London Sofa-Sleeper, and the DreamSofa brand in general, is the emphasis on quality. We’ve talked a lot about materials already, but here are just a few more highlights about the frame and construction techniques, which illustrate the quality that DreamSofa delivers:
-
Frames: Engineered and constructed with kiln-dried pine and solid woods. Kiln drying is similar to oven drying, pulling the moisture from the wood so that it won’t warp, twist or squeak over time.
-
Stress Points: Areas that withstand pressure and stress are reinforced with solid wood corner blocks, t-nuts for legs, Stanley Bostich staples and high-standard wood glue.
-
Springs: Based on research and testing, a base of 8-gauge Leggett & Platt sinuous wire springs are pulled together with Leggett & Platt flex cords and attached with Stanley Bostich Hartco clips to provide long-lasting support and comfort.
