RoboForm vs. LastPass
RoboForm and LastPass are leading password management services that share a lot of similarities. Both offer subscription plans for families, individuals and businesses, and both have a free version. Both come with a slew of security and privacy features that provide protection and convenience online, like AES 256-bit encryption, a password generator, auto-fill capabilities, secure sharing, emergency access and more. RoboForm and LastPass are also both compatible with most major devices and systems, and offer browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Safari.
But there are a few areas in which RoboForm has an edge over LastPass. For instance, while both companies offer a free version, RoboForm’s paid plans are slightly less expensive than LastPass’. And while 1Password is one of the most comprehensive password management services you’ll find on the market today, there are a few areas in which RoboForm shines in comparison. For starters, RoboForm offers a free plan, which enables users to store an unlimited number of logins locally on a single device. While 1Password offers a 14-day free trial, there is no free version available. RoboForm’s paid plans are also slightly less expensive than 1Password’s. Another key difference? While both services are compatible across many devices, systems and browsers, only RoboForm still supports Internet Explorer. So, if you’re still utilizing this browser, you may be better off going with RoboForm. Further, RoboForm’s bookmark storage feature is extremely easy to use, and enables sharing of bookmarks across multiple devices and browsers, saving users time and energy. 1Password’s process is a little more cumbersome and not quite as comprehensive. RoboForm also has more customer service support options than 1Password, and reaching an actual customer service agent is a little more laborious with 1Password.
