5. Thaw and serve: The packets take about 12 hours to thaw in the fridge or 15 to 20 minutes when submerged in a cool bowl of water.

The Ingredients

We Feed Raw is designed to closely replicate a dog’s natural, carnivorous diet. Their raw frozen meals take the form of patties that you simply thaw and serve. They are available in chicken, beef, turkey, lamb or duck, and each includes a blend of meaty meat (muscle meat and associated connective tissue and fat), organ meat and fresh, ground bone. The meat is responsibly sourced, humanely harvested and USDA human-grade. There are no grains or fillers, no preservatives and no artificial colors or flavors in any of the recipes, and each gets an added boost of nutrition thanks to the addition of a proprietary vitamin and mineral premix. The patties are formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO dog food nutrient profiles for all life stages, including the growth of large-breed puppies (70 pounds or more).

We Feed Raw also offers raw freeze-dried nuggets, which provide the full nutritional value of raw dog food in a shelf-stable product that you can simply scoop and serve as is, or rehydrate using warm water or bone broth. This product is available in chicken or beef, and are 85 percent meat and organ, and 15 percent non-GMO fruits and vegetables. They also include added phytonutrients, omega-3s, essential vitamins and trace minerals. They are free from grains, soy and artificial preservatives. Note that these meals are recommended for adult dogs only.

Both the frozen and the raw meals undergo a special process that uses ultra-high water pressure to neutralize food-borne pathogens such as Listeria, E. Coli and Salmonella, while preserving their nutritional value—so you can rest easy knowing the meals are as safe as they are healthy.
